This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to develop an effective Halal team by identifying the skill requirement, the tasks and the right personnel. Adopting the Singapore Muis Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ) is one of the requirements of the Muis Halal Certification Condition. As part of the system, a Halal Team is required to maintain and implement the Halal system. Getting the right group of people to be in the Halal Team can facilitate a smoother implementation of system management.
The course is provided in bite-size, suitable for busy learners who need to learn on the go.
The course is designed for:
- Halal Team leader/members or any other personnel in-charge of developing a Halal Team
- Those who work in Halal-certified establishments and would like to gain a better understanding of developing a Halal Team
At the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Identify skill requirements and tasks of the Halal Team
- Identify appropriate staff for Halal team appointment
- Develop task descriptions for each Halal team member
Learners should preferably have attended Muis Halal certification-related courses as this course does not cover some underpinning knowledge, such as the basics of Halal and Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ) in detail. This course, however, will provide an overview of the HalMQ to facilitate learning.
